| Headcoach Elizabeth Burris, USA, Age 25 2005 will be the First Year for Burris as the Sharx Headcoach. Currently she finished her third season as the top assistant coach to David Deiros at Florida Gulf Coast University. Her responsibilities include conditioning, working with catchers and outfielders, monitoring academics, and community involvement. Prior to joining the staff at FGCU, she was the junior varsity coach at Central Cabarris High ofNorth Carolina in 2002 where the team posted a 14-0 record. She also assisted with an 18-year old and under fast-pitch team in North Carolina for three summers. Burris played four seasons as a catcher and outfielder for Division I University of North Carolina at Charlotte. A Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection during her playing career, she posted a 3.7 grade point average and graduated with Cum Laude honors. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in religion. A native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Burris is pursuing a master’s degree in counseling at FGCU. |

| Assistant Coach Michael Schmidt, Austria, Age 34
Hometown: Bregenz Schmidt war von 1994 bis 1998 Headcoach der Sharx. Unter ihm gelang der Aufstieg in die Bundesliga 1995. 1998 wurde er mit dem Team Cupsieger und österreichischer Vizemeister. |
