The drive and tensioning device is made of 18 pieces of electro hydraulic aggregats with one 5,5kW motor, one winch with 1,5to power of traction for the drive control and one tensioning device for tensioning and locking the roof in the closed end position.
The inner roof is mounted on 18 drive devices and 124 slide cars. These drive devices are driven by the winches to the OPEN or CLOSED position. The slide cars follow the drive device trough the mechanical connection with the roof. The main problem was the
excentric central hub. This is the reason for the 18 different way lenghts for the driving devices.
The complete roof system is controlled by a key switch OPEN - CLOSE roof. An integrated weather station (rain, wind speed, ..) with adjustable limit values regulates automatically in emergency situation to reach always the safe end position.
Control Concept
The system C220 from Bernecker and Rainer is used to control the roof system. All 18 aggregats and the weather station are connected with the PLC (C220) through a CAN field bus. The CAN network (CAN field bus cable) is about 500m long.
To reduce service time and costs a data logger is installed. In addition to this logger a tele diagnosis system is installed. With a standard serial modem we can control the complete roof system from every standard telephone connection.
